Son of the legendary Derek Bell and himself a class winner at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Justin runs and owns motoguru.com, a popular video site that features sports car coverage as well as car reviews. Motoguru.com and SPEED regular Justin Bell got the best of on-road and off-road with his review of the flashy new Mitsubishi Evo MR, a beauty of a car but one with plenty of teeth!
“This is a hot shot. And we do like curves, which the new Evo MR has plenty of,” he said. “It’s rally inspired with more muscle showing behind the skin as flared wheel arches and body trim meet at the front of the car and the headlamps.
“Driving about town is a fun and rather speedy affair, with my excuse being that the 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder needs to be kept on its toes. So I found myself feeding my mojo with regularity. Away from the lights, it just rockets ahead and around tight corners is almost unnatural in accuracy and positive feel. Thanks to all-wheel drive there is none of that ‘torque steer’ to worry about, and so every throttle application on exit feels like a rocket.”
